Welcome to the Newto News for March of 2024. My name is Zack Cockfield, and my team and I created Newtomedia as a way for visitors or new residents to get information about a city. Each month we bring together resources that will update you on the history, amenities, culture, future opportunities and all other things inside a city that make it unique. We also hope to be a resource for connecting you with people and businesses that can help you live a better life. If you find our efforts useful, please click on the links to get more information!

Bozeman, Montana, originally inhabited by the Native American tribes of the Shoshone, Nez Perce, and Crow, was founded in 1864 by John Bozeman. The city quickly grew as a hub for fur trading and agriculture, attracting settlers seeking to take advantage of the rich lands surrounding the Gallatin Valley. Bozeman became known for its bustling Main Street, lined with saloons, hotels, and general stores. In the late 19th century, the arrival of the Northern Pacific Railroad further fueled the city’s growth, connecting Bozeman to markets in the east and west. The city continued to prosper with the establishment of Montana State University in 1893, solidifying Bozeman’s reputation as an educational and cultural center. Today, Bozeman is a thriving city known for its outdoor recreation opportunities, including world-class skiing, hiking, and fly fishing. The city has managed to retain its historic charm while embracing modern development, making it a popular destination for tourists and new residents alike.
