Welcome to the Newto News for March of 2024. My name is Zack Cockfield, and my team and I created Newtomedia as a way for visitors or new residents to get information about a city. Each month we bring together resources that will update you on the history, amenities, culture, future opportunities and all other things inside a city that make it unique. We also hope to be a resource for connecting you with people and businesses that can help you live a better life. If you find our efforts useful, please click on the links to get more information!

Originally founded by German immigrants in the mid-19th century, Anaheim, California, began as a rural community known for its orange groves. The arrival of the Southern Pacific Railroad in the late 1870s transformed the town into a bustling center of commerce and agriculture. In the early 20th century, Anaheim experienced rapid growth with the establishment of Disneyland in 1955, becoming a major tourist destination and solidifying its reputation as the “Happiest Place on Earth.” The city continued to expand with the development of the Anaheim Convention Center and Angel Stadium, home to the MLB team, the Los Angeles Angels. Today, Anaheim is a vibrant city with a diverse population and a strong economy driven by industries such as tourism, technology, and healthcare. Its rich history, cultural attractions, and recreational amenities make it a desirable place to live, work, and visit in Southern California.
