Welcome to the Newto News for January of 2026. My name is Zack Cockfield, and my team and I created Newtomedia as a way for visitors or new residents to get information about a city. Each month we bring together resources that will update you on the history, amenities, culture, future opportunities and all other things inside a city that make it unique. We also hope to be a resource for connecting you with people and businesses that can help you live a better life. If you find our efforts useful, please click on the links to get more information!

Palm Coast, Florida was founded in 1969 by ITT Community Development Corporation as a planned community along the Atlantic Coast. The development of Palm Coast was part of ITT’s vision to create a flourishing city that would cater to retirees and young families alike. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Palm Coast experienced rapid growth as more and more residents moved to the area attracted by the community’s beautiful beaches, pristine golf courses, and abundance of outdoor recreational activities. The city’s population continued to grow steadily as new residential and commercial developments were built. In the early 2000s, Palm Coast faced challenges as the real estate market crashed, leading to a temporary slowdown in growth. However, the city rebounded quickly and continued to attract new residents and businesses looking for a high quality of life in a picturesque coastal setting. Today, Palm Coast is a thriving city known for its strong sense of community, beautiful natural surroundings, and vibrant economy.
